대전지역 국악 예술인과 미술인도 허태정 더불어민주당 대전시장 후보의 연임을 지지하는 행렬에 동참했다.
대전지역에서 활동 중인 미술인 100인을 대표한 30명의 회원들은 24일 유성구 충남대 미술관 앞에서 허태정 더불어민주당 대전시장 후보에 대한 연임을 지지한다고 선언했다.
이들 미술인들은 “미술인 권익보호에 앞장서왔던 허 후보가 인문과 예술 분야에 깊은 식견을 가진 감각있는 지도자란 사실을 확인한다”며 “대전시립미술관 지역예술인 쿼터제 등 지역미술인 전시 공간 확보 정책에 관심이 큰 허 후보의 연임을 지지한다”고 했다.

이에 앞서 대전지역 국악 예술인 모임 500인을 대표하는 50명의 회원들은 23일 중구 고당마당에서 풍물공연과 허태정 더불어민주당 대전시장 후보에 대한 지지 선언식을 가졌다.
이들은 지지선언문을 통해 “자랑스러운 문화강국 대한민국 K-컬쳐의 뿌리인 국악예술인과 문화예술인들의 삶은 코로나로 인해 생존을 걱정해야 할 현실에 처했다”며 “지금은 전통예술의 창조적 계승과 전통예술인들의 생태계 조성에 대한 근본적인 진단과 제도적 실천이 무엇보다 중요한 때이기 때문에 민선8기 허태정 후보의 연임을 지지한다”고 주장했다.
허태정 후보는 연이은 지역 예술인들의 지지선언에 “대전 예술인들의 이어지는 지지선언 덕분에 선거에 임하는 자신감과 용기가 더욱 커졌다”며 “6월 1일 선거에서 반드시 승리해 대전을 문화예술인들이 자긍심을 갖고 예술 활동을 할 수 있는 전국 제일의 도시가 되도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 화답했다.
