김태흠 충남도지사 후보는 생활밀착형 공약 다섯 번째로 충남도내 만5세 이하를 대상으로 보육시설 유형과 연령에 관계없이 균일하게 균등한 지원을 통해 현재 부모가 부담하고 있는 추가 필요경비를 지원하겠다고 밝혔다.

이에 김 후보는 “초등학교부터 고등학교까지 무상교육이 이루어지고 있는 가운데, 영유아를 둔 학부모의 경우 추가 필요경비를 부담하고 있어 형평성 문제가 제기되고 있으며, 시설의 유형과 연령에 따라 정부와 지자체 지원이 균등하지 않아 동일한 교육과정임에도 쏠림현상이 일어나는 등 시설이용의 불균형이 발생하고 있다.”면서 “만5세 이하 전 연령에 대해 시설의 유형과 연령에 따른 차등을 최소화하고 균일한 지원을 통해 학부모 비용부담을 해소하겠다.”고 강조했다.
