브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 지상파3사의 출구조사 결과가 이번 6·1 지방선거에서도 얼마나 정확할지 눈길이 쏠린다.
KBS·MBC·SBS 지상파 방송 3사의 출구조사 결과는 지난 2002년 16대 대선에서 처음으로 도입된 이후 단 한번도 틀리지 않았다.
이날 한국방송협회 산하 방송사공동예측조사위원회(KEP·공동조사위)가 실시한 제8회 전국동시지방선거 출구조사 결과는 오후 7시30분 지상파 방송 3사를 통해 공표된다.
공동조사위는 이날 오전 6시부터 오후 6시까지 전국 630개 투표소에서 유권자 11만명을 대상으로 출구조사를 실시하고 있다. 표본오차는 95% 신뢰 수준에서 오차범위 ±1.5~4.3%포인트다.
또한 이재명 더불어민주당 후보가 출마한 인천 계양을과 안철수 국민의힘 후보가 출마한 경기 분당갑 국회의원 재보궐선거에 대한 출구조사도 함께 이뤄진다.
한편 이번 선거는 코로나19 사태로 인한 투표 마감시간이 늦춰진 만큼 당선 윤곽은 자정께 나올 것으로 보인다. 특히 유권자가 많은 지역이거나 접전지역의 경우엔 다음날 새벽 2~3시경 윤곽이 드러날 전망이다.
