파주시는 오는 21일까지 우기철을 대비해 지하차도 12개소에 대한 배수로 준설공사를 실시한다고 밝혔다.
이번 준설공사는 여름철 집중호우 시 발생할 수 있는 지하차도의 침수 및 안전사고를 예방하기 위해 그동안 쌓였던 토사 및 퇴적물을 제거하는 공사다.

준설공사가 진행되는 지하차도는 운정신도시 내 한길지하차도 등 10개소와 금촌 내 후곡지하차도 등 2개소로, 시민들의 불편을 최소화하기 위해 출퇴근 시간을 제외하고 통행량이 적은 시간대에 작업을 실시할 예정이다.
