[브레이크뉴스=이성용기자] 창원특례시(시장 홍남표)는 1일 오후 7시 창원광장에서 시민의 날을 맞아 시민 1만여 명이 참석한 가운데 ‘제12회 창원시민의 날 기념식 및 축하음악회’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

민선 8기가 시작되는 첫날에 열린 이번 행사는 기념식과 축하음악회를 함께 개최해 2년여 동안 코로나19로 지친 시민들의 일상에 위로와 활력을 주고 상반기 양대선거로 흩어진 민심을 화합케 하는 시간이었다.

창원시립무용단과 소년소녀합창단의 식전공연을 시작으로 시립교향악단과 시립합창단이 함께한 ‘위풍당당 행진곡’으로 포문을 열었으며, 시민헌장낭독, 유공 시민 및 문화상 표창 수여, 기념사, 각계각층의 시민들이 보내준 축하 영상 송출 순으로 진행됐다.
