고양시(시장 이동환)는 지난 2일 130여명의 교육생이 참여한 가운데 ‘2022년 고양특례시 기후환경학교’ 기초과정이 고양시 문예회관에서 개강했다고 밝혔다.
2022년 고양특례시 기후환경학교는 기후위기를 시민과 함께 극복하기 위해 작년에 이어 실시된다.

기후환경 분야의 최고의 강사를 모시고 진행하는 기후환경학교는 기후변화의 원인과 영향을 이해하고 실천방안과 고양시의 환경정책을 공유하는 시간이 될 예정이다.
기후변화 시대에 꼭 알아야 할 내용으로 구성된 이번 기후환경학교는 기초과정 완료 후 심화 과정을 실시할 예정이다. 심화과정은 기초과정 수료자와 작년 기후환경학교 수료자가 참여할 수 있다.
시 관계자는 “환경교육은 기후변화 시대를 살아가기 위한 실천 매뉴얼과 같다”고 말하며 “개인의 작은 실천이 모여야만 환경문제 해결이라는 결실을 맺을 수 있다. 이번 교육을 통해 조금의 불편함이 익숙함이 되는 일상을 만들어가길 바란다”고 밝혔다.
