파주시는 총 사업비 6천만원을 들여 문산제일고등학교 내 친환경 학교숲을 조성했다고 밝혔다.
학교숲 조성 사업은 학생들을 위한 자연체험학습 공간을 조성해 정서함양 증진에 도움을 주고 쉼터 공간을 제공하기 위해 마련했다.

이번에 사업이 실시된 문산제일고등학교는 지난해 7월 모집을 통해 선정됐으며, 시는 올해 1월 문산제일고와 협약을 체결, 학교 의견수렴 및 협의를 거쳐 지난달 20일 녹지공간을 마련했다.

특히, 숲길 형태로 복자기나무, 이팝나무 등 교·관목 1,605주를 식재하고, 인조화강블록을 포장하고, 평의자를 설치하는 등 더욱 쾌적한 학교 환경 조성을 위해 힘썼다.
