도심 속 자연 공간을 표방하는 고양시 덕양구 신원동 소재 ‘고양 플랜테이션’의 씨티칼리지 평생교육원이 반려견 아카데미를 개강한다.
8일 씨티칼리지 평생교육원에 따르면 반려동물인구 1500만 명 시대를 맞아 아무런 준비 없이 무작정 반려동물을 대하기보다는 잘 이해해서 맞을 수 있는 체계적인 교육을 위해 반려 견 아카데미 강좌를 개설했다.
개설할 과정으로는 ▲BAT 과정▲유기 견 보호소 수업▲센트 워크▲트레이닝 응용▲클리커 트레이닝 기초▲반려 견 피트니스(초·중급) ▲반려 견 건강관리▲반려 견 케어(초·중급 그루밍) 반려 견 푸드▲반려 견 아로마▲반려 견 의상제작(초·중급)등 반려동물 산업교육에 대한 전체적인 흐름을 체계화했다.

평생교육원은 이를 위해 자연과 교감할 수 있는 정원 문화 휴식 공간(플랜테이션)을 갖췄다.
숲과 잔디마당을 포함한 3만평에 달하는 넓은 공간은 도심 인근에서 자연과 어우러진 문화를 체험할 수 있도록 했다.
이곳에서는 반려 견과 산책로를 걸으면서 정서적 유대감을 높일 수 있으며, 반려 견 전용 운동장도 있어 리드 줄을 풀고 자유로운 놀이와 교육이 가능하다.
수강신청은 오는 8월12일까지이고 교육기간은 오는8월22~10월14일까지 8주 동안으로 과목별 수강료와 기간의 차이가 있을 수 있다.
수강생에게는 본인과 반려 견 연간회원권이 주어지며 일반 연간회원과 동일하게 플랜테이션 정원에 대한 이벤트 안내와 제품 할인 등의 혜택이 제공된다.
