파주시농업기술센터는 지난 5일 오뚜기냉동식품(주)과 판로에 어려움을 겪는 관내 우수 농산물의 소비촉진을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.
이날 협약에서 파주시는 보조사업을 통해 관내 농가가 우수 농산물을 생산할 수 있도록 하며 우수 농산물에 대한 정보를 제공하고, 오뚜기냉동식품(주)에서는 파주 농산물을 활용한 제품을 개발하고 안정적인 판로를 확보할 수 있도록 협력하기로 했다.

오뚜기냉동식품(주)에서는 7월 중 적성에서 생산하는 양파 20톤, 대파 10톤에 대해 적성마늘양파작목반(대표 정원기)과 농작물 계약재배 약정을 체결할 계획이며, 추가적으로 양배추에 대한 계약재배 약정도 검토하고 있다.
김현철 농업기술센터소장은 “이번 협약을 통해 관내 우수농산물이 냉동식품, 식사용 조리식품 등 제품개발 및 생산에 이용돼 농가 소득이 증대되길 바란다”고 말했다.
