파주시는 파주 LCD일반산업단지 공공폐수처리시설이 한국환경공단이 주관하는 2021년 악취기술진단 완료시설 운영관리평가에서 지난 6일 전국 ‘최우수’기관으로 선정됐다고 밝혔다.
한국환경공단은 2021년 악취기술진단을 완료한 하·폐수 처리 시설 117곳을 대상으로 실질적 악취발생량 저감, 현장 문제점 개선 및 해결 방안 등을 종합적으로 평가해 최우수 2개, 우수 2개 시설을 선정했다.

파주시 LCD공공폐수처리시설은 평소 공업지역 부지 경계의 악취 배출 허용기준보다 약 4~6배가량 낮은 수치로 배출했으며, 악취발생량 저감 및 처리방안에 대해 신속하게 대처해 좋은 평가를 받았다.
