[브레이크뉴스=이성용기자] 경남도가 노선버스 이용객의 안전확보와 탄소 배출가스 저감을 위해 전국 최초로 ‘노선버스 안전 및 탄소 저감 통합관제 구축 사업’을 추진한다고 11일 밝혔다.
이번 사업은 행정안전부가 생활권 기반의 주민체감형 사업 발굴과 초광역 협력 활성화의 기초를 마련하기 위해 추진한 공모사업에 최종 선정되어 추진한다.
경남도가 주관하고 부산광역시, 울산광역시, 한국교통안전공단이 사업에 참여하며, 총사업비 15억6천만 원(국비 7억 8천만 원, 지방비 7억 8천만 원)을 투입한다.
주요 사업내용으로는 경남·부산·울산을 운행하는 부울경 광역노선 시외버스(경남) 300대와 시내버스(부산·울산) 12대 등 312대를 대상으로 자료수집용 단말기를 설치해 배터리 상태, 차량의 위치정보, 흡·배기 시스템 상태 등의 운행데이터를 실시간으로 모니터링하고 차량 이상발생 시 알람 및 차량 고장위험 예측 기능이 구현되는 웹기반 통합관제 시스템을 구축한다.
경남도는 이번 사업으로 대중교통분야의 중대재해 예방에 선제적으로 대응하고, 차량의 배출가스 저감장치의 최적 관리로 배출가스 감소 효과도 기대할 수 있는 만큼 향후 부울경 전체 노선에 대해 확대 추진할 계획이다.
