민생당(공동직무대행 김정기, 이관승)은 13일 오후 3시 국회 앞에서 '민생이 우선이다'라는 주제로 민생우선 촉구 결의대회를 가졌다.
장대비가 오는 가운데 진행된 민생당 결의대회는 고재권 광주시당 사무처장의 사회로 진행됐다.
이관승 공동대표는 인사말을 통해 "민생이 파탄 나고 서민의 고통이 증가하고 있음에도 불구하고, 윤석열 정부는 민생 문제를 해결할 정책을 내놓지 못하고 있고, 민생 문제를 함께 해결해야 할 국민의힘과 더불어민주당 거대정당들은 성(性) 문제와 정쟁(政爭)에만 빠져있다"면서 "오죽하면 국민의힘에는 국민이 없고 민주당에 민주주의가 없다는 조롱까지 나오는 실정이다"라고 비판했다.
김정기 공동대표는 "무역수지는 14년 만에 4개월 연속 적자를 보여, 수출에 붉은 신호등이 켜졌다. 수출로 먹고사는 우리나라로서는 성장동력이 바닥난 것이 아닌가, 심히 우려스럽다"며 "소비자물가가 6% 이상 뛰었고, 시장에서의 체감 물가는 3배, 4배로 뛰어 서민들의 장바구니는 궁핍하기 그지없다. 경제위기의 폭풍 속에서 중산층과 서민들은 하루하루를 힘들게 살고 있다. 코로나 19 펜데믹로 폐업했던 자영업자들은 아직도 일터로 돌아가지 못하고 있는데, 펜데믹이 다시 오고 있다"고 지적했다.
김영숙 여성위원장도 연설을 통해 "민생경제의 파탄은 고용이 불안정한 여성과 복지급여와 노령연금으로 생활을 할 수 없는 어르신들의 삶을 더 어렵게 만들고 있다"며 "이에 대한 정부의 대책이 시급하다. 임금 빼고 모두 오르고 있는 현실에서 어떻게 살아가야 할지 막막하기만 한데 국가를 이끌어 가야 할 정치 주체 간 충돌은 국민에게 백해무익한 일이다"라고 말했다.
청년층을 대변하는 박성준씨는 "민생경제의 파탄은 취업이 힘든 청년층의 생활을 더 불안하게 만들고 있고, 조기 명퇴한 중년들 역시 더 이상 가정을 부양할 수 없어 축 처진 어깨를 하고 단기 근로 일자리라도 찾기 위해 이리저리 거리를 헤매고 있다"라며 민생경제 파탄으로 인한 어려움을 토로했다.
양건모 수석대변인은 "윤석열 정부는 민생파탄이 국민적 재난 수준이라는 위기의식을 가지고, 말만 민생이 아니라 민생 문제에 대한 정확한 진단을 통해 해법을 제시해야 한다"라며 "민생당은 오늘 결의대회뿐만 아니라, 앞으로도 국회 앞 집회, 1위 시위, 민생 탐방 등 다양한 활동을 통해 민생 문제를 파악하여 정부에 해결책을 제시하는 등, 민생 문제를 해결하기 위해 노력할 것이다"라고 했다.
