금촌1동 체육회는 지난 12일, 맥금동 소재 경작지에서 관내 어르신께 기부하기 위해 사랑과 정성으로 재배한 감자를 수확했다고 밝혔다.
금촌1동 체육회 회원들은 지난 3월부터 감자 심기, 잡초제거 등에 직접 참여하며 이웃에게 사랑을 전하기 위한 감자가꾸기에 정성을 쏟아 감자 40여 박스(10kg)를 수확했다.

이날 수확한 감자는 금촌1동 행정복지센터를 통해 관내 경로당 23개소와 폐지 줍는 어르신에게 전달됐다.
마희정 금촌1동 체육회장은 “오랜 펜데믹과 급격한 물가상승으로 어려움을 겪는 이웃과 경로당을 이용하는 어르신께 조금이나마 즐거움을 드릴 수 있어 기쁘다”며 “앞으로도 이웃에게 힘이 될 수 있는 다양한 사업을 적극적으로 추진하겠다”고 말했다.
김수태 금촌1동장은 “더운 날씨에도 불구하고, 이른 아침부터 모여 이웃 사랑을 실천해 주신 체육회 회원 여러분께 진심으로 감사드린다”고 전했다.파주=박정호기자
