파주시(시장 김경일)는 지난 21일 금촌 센트리움 웨딩홀에서 ‘깨끗한 파주 만들기 환경인 워크숍’을 개최했다고 밝혔다.
이번 워크숍은 깨끗한 파주를 위해 최일선에서 일하는 환경미화원, 환경기초시설 직원, 공직자 등 200명을 대상으로 ▲중대재해 예방 교육 ▲자원순환 및 탄소중립 교육 ▲청렴환경 민·관 청렴협약식 체결 ▲깨끗한 파주 만들기 유공자 표창 등으로 진행됐다.

김경일 파주시장은 “깨끗한 파주 만들기를 위해 최일선에서 고군분투하시는 분들의 노력으로 깨끗한 파주가 됐다”며, “직원들의 노고에 감사드리며, 앞으로도 깨끗한 파주를 만들기 위해 사명감을 갖고 일해주시길 부탁드린다”고 말했다.
한편, 파주시는 깨끗한 경기 만들기 시·군 평가에서 생활폐기물 발생량 감축 등의 14개 분야 정량평가와 생활폐기물 감축을 위한 특수시책의 정성평가 지표에서 우수한 성적을 거둬 2019년 최우수, 2020년 최우수, 2021년 우수기관으로 선정돼 3년 연속 수상이라는 쾌거를 이뤘다. 파주=박정호기자
