[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시는 창원지역을 배경으로 공간과 정서를 담아낸 영상작품을 발굴함과 동시에 지역 영상인들을 지원하고 관내 영상산업의 활성화를 도모하기 위한 ‘2022년 창원시 영상산업 활성화 2차 지원사업’ 공모를 시행한다고 25일 밝혔다.
공모 대상은 △상업영상물(영화, 드라마) △독립영상물(극영화, 다큐멘터리, 웹드라마, 초단편(1분 이내) 영화) 부문이며, 작품심사를 통해 장편은 최대 5천만 원, 단편은 최대 1천만 원이 지원될 예정이다.
공모 기간은 25일부터 8월 8일까지로 신청서류 및 세부 지원조건 등 자세한 사항은 창원시 홈페이지를 통해 확인할 수 있다.
시는 2012년부터 올해 상반기까지 34개 작품에 대해 8억9천만 원을 선정해 지원했으며, 이번 사업을 통해서 창원시의 이미지 홍보 및 관광객 유치에 박차를 가할 예정이다.
올해 상반기 1차 지원사업에서는 최정민 감독의 ‘미 씽’, 김연진 감독의 ‘복실이의 행복을 찾아서’ 두 작품이 선정돼 지원받는다.
구진호 문화체육관광국장은 “창원이 보유한 인적, 물적 인프라를 활용하여 창원에서 지원하고 제작하는 작품들이 점차 좋은 결과를 거두고 있다”며 “창원시의 우수 영상 콘텐츠 제작을 활성화하고, 이를 발판 삼아 지원과 제작, 성과가 선순환되는 생태계를 조성할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 전했다.
