[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 함안군이 경찰병원 분원 유치에 나섰다.
이에 군은 구 함안IC 부지를 사업 예정지로 ‘경찰병원 분원 건립 후보지 추천 신청서’를 지난 21일 경찰청에 제출했다.
신청부지는 3만㎡이상의 군유지로 부지매입·교환 등을 통해 국가재산으로 활용이 용이하며, 경찰병원 분원 건립 시 법률상 저촉이 없어 신속한 사업 추진이 가능하다.
또한, 구 함안IC부지는 경남의 중심에 위치해 남해고속도로 및 중부내륙고속도로, 경전선(KTX) 등으로 연결되는 편리한 교통망을 갖추고 있으며, 주변에 함주공원, 함안문화예술회관, 종합스포츠타운 등이 있어 최적의 입지조건을 갖추고 있다.
특히, 도보 10분 거리에는 함안수영장과 종합운동장 등 체육시설도 위치하고 있어 이를 활용한 재활치료도 가능하다는 강점이 있다.
