고양시가 민원 다발지역이었던 행주내동 713-9번지 자투리공간에 행주동 쌈지공원을 조성했다고 27일 밝혔다.
행주내동 713-9번지 일대는 쓰레기 무단투기와 불법주차가 빈번하게 발생해 지역주민들이 지속적으로 민원을 제기하는 장소였다.

이에 고양시는 해당 부지 160㎡을 녹지공간과 보행공간으로 구분한 후 녹지공간에 벚나무와 산딸나무 등 수목을 식재했다.
또한 그네의자 등의 휴게시설도 설치해 쌈지공원이 쉼터로 기능할 수 있도록 조성했다.

시 관계자는“지역주민들 뿐만 아니라 행주산성먹거리촌을 찾아온 방문객에게도 휴식공간과 만남의 장소로도 이용되는 쌈지공원이 될 것”이라면서 “자투리땅 내 불법행위 방지와 도시미관 향상을 위해 지속적으로 녹지정비 사업을 추진하겠다”고 말했다.고양=박정호기자
