[브레이크뉴스=이성용기자] 강기윤 의원은 2일 국회 보건복지위원회 전체회의에서 ‘자율방역에 따른 정부지원 확대 필요성’에 대한 질병청의 동의를 이끌어냈다고 밝혔다.
코로나19 발생 초기에 정부가 자가격리를 하는 전 국민을 대상으로 재택치료키트와 코로나 감염으로 인한 비대면진료비용을 지원했지만, 재택치료키트는 올해 5월, 비대면진료비용은 올해 7월부터 정부지원에서 제외되면서 자기 부담 비용이 발생하고 있다.
특히, 코로나 감염으로 인한 비대면 진료의 경우 본인이 진료비용 6600원을 부담하게 되면서, 취약계층 등 일부 국민들 사이에서는 코로나 진료에 부담을 느낄 수 있다는 지적이 있었다.
강 의원은 “정부가 자율방역을 강조하면서, 코로나 방역의 진단과 치료에 필요한 비용과 지원을 뒷받침해 주지 않는다면, 그 효과를 기대하기 어렵다”고 말하고 “재택치료키트, 코로나 신속항원검사(RAT) 검사비, 비대면 진료 본인부담금 등 정부의 지원을 확대해야 한다”고 주장했다.
이에 백경란 질병청장은 “코로나 자율방역에 따른 정부 지원 필요성에 동의한다”고 답했다.
