대통령 직속 헌법자문기구인 민주평화통일자문회의 고양시협의회(협의회장 하동평,이하 민주평통)는 8월1일 일산동구청 2층 대회의실에서 국민소통분과 주관으로(위원장 김경미) 「2022 평화통일 최고위과정 수료식」을 개최했다.
2022 평화통일 최고위과정은 △ 7월 4일 정은찬 통일교육원 교수의 “최근 북한 동향과 한반도 통일” △ 7월 11일 배기찬 前 민주평통 사무처장의 “러-우크라이나 전쟁과 한반도 평화” △ 7월 18일 김병주 국회의원의 “국제정세, 손자병법으로 바라보다” △7월 23일 현장학습(강화도) △ 7월 25일 김근식 경남대학교 교수의 “윤석열정부의 대북정책 : 전망과 제언”순으로 진행되었으며 고양시민을 대상으로 평화o통일에 대한 기본적 소양과 공감대 확산을 위해 실시되었다.
이 날 행사는 △ 개회식 △ 하동평 협의회장 개회사 △ 이동환 고양특례시장 격려사 및 시정방향 △ 단체사진 촬영 △ 수료증 수여식 순으로 진행되었다.

하동평 협의회장은 “평화통일 최고위과정은 고양특례시민을 대상으로 체계적인 학습으로 평화통일에 대해 공감하고 역량과 의지를 강화해 선도적인 평화통일 리더를 양성하기 위해 개최하고 있으며 오늘 수료와 함께 평화통일 전도사가 된 수강생 여러분들의 활발한 활동 부탁드린다”고 전하였다.
