파주시 문산읍은 지난 5일 자유로 인근에서 문산읍 직원들과 농업경영인협회 회원 등 30여 명이 모여 코스모스 꽃길을 심으며 새단장에 나섰다고 밝혔다.
코로나19로 지친 사람들에게 일상의 소소한 즐거움을 선사하기 위해 자유로 주변에 코스모스를 심는 행사가 마련됐다.

문산읍에서는 해마다 바쁜 농사철을 피해 당동IC 인근에서 자유로 방면으로 3.2km 구간에 보리, 코스모스를 심고 가꿔왔는데, 임진각으로 향하는 관광객들의 눈과 귀를 사로잡고 있다.
이한상 문산읍장은 “실내보다는 야외 활동이 잦은 요즘, 코로나19를 피해 파주 임진각을 찾는 시민들과 관광객들을 위해 코스모스를 파종했다”고 전했다.
