파주시는 지난 11일 전국 최초로 시행한 ‘드론활용 옥외광고물 안전점검’을 경기도 31개 시·군에 확대하고자 도내 옥외광고물 담당자들을 초청해 적극행정 우수사례를 공유하는 시간을 가졌다고 밝혔다.
이번 행사는 기존에 육안으로 확인하는 점검 방식과 드론을 활용한 점검 방식을 교차 진행해, 드론을 활용한 점검이 기존 점검의 한계점을 얼마나 효과적으로 보완할 수 있는지 보여줬다.

기존 점검은 담당자가 난간에 기대는 경우가 잦아 추락 위험이 있고, 최근에 지어진 건물은 창문의 일부만 개폐가 가능해 점검에 어려움을 겪고 있다.
시는 이번 업무 공유를 통해 드론 활용 시, 추락 위험이나 건축물 구조상의 한계에도 불구하고 안전하고 간편하게 점검이 가능한 점을 선보였다.
