화장실문화시민연대측은 11일자 보도자료에서 “이날 서울 서대문경찰서, 화장실문화시민연대, 서대문 불법촬영 시민감시단은 함께 불법촬영은 중대한 범죄행위, 몰래 찍고 유포하면 5천만원 벌금 등이 담긴 스티커와 현수막을 들고 연세대학교 화장실에서 불법촬영 카메라 점검 및 캠페인을 벌였다”고 전하고 “캠페인 도중 만난 학생들에게 (주)몰가드에서 제공한 불법촬영 탐지카드를 나눠주며 불법카메라 설치자를 스스로 찾아보자는 행사도 함께 벌였다”고 알렸다.
이날 함께 캠페인을 주관한 서대문 경찰서 성폭력 담당 신소라 경위는 “불법촬영 적발시 5천만원의 벌금과 7년 이하의 징역형이 처해지지만 어떤 형태의 성폭력이라도 법 감정을 떠나 우리사회에서 발붙이지 못하도록 함께 도와 달라”고 말했다.
표혜령 화장실문화시민연대 대표는 “서대문경찰서와는 4년 전부터 MOU를 맺고 불법촬영 없는 사회를 위해 함께 몰카 찾기 캠페인을 꾸준히 해오고 있다”며 정부나 기관들이 함께 노력하고 있으나 성폭력 근절을 위해선 시민 한 사람 학생 한 사람 모두가 감시자가 돼달라“고 강조했다.
“이 캠페인은 서울의 연세대학교를 시작으로 이화여자대학교, 명지대학교, 경기대학교, 추계 예술대학교등 대학교 화장실의 불법촬영 카메라 점검 및 캠페인을 계속 펼쳐 나갈 예정”이라고 밝혔다.

Inspector Shin So-ra in charge of sexual violence at the Seodaemun Police Station, who co-hosted the campaign, said, “If you are caught illegally filming, you will be fined 50 million won and sentenced to up to 7 years in prison. ” he said.
Pyo Hye-ryeong, president of the Citizens’ Solidarity for Toilet Culture, said, “We signed an MOU with the Seodaemun Police Station four years ago and have been steadily conducting a campaign to find hidden cameras together for a society free from illegal filming.” I want every human and student to be a watcher,” he emphasized.
She said, “This campaign will continue with the inspection and campaign of illegally filmed cameras in the bathrooms of universities such as Yonsei University in Seoul, Ewha Womans University, Myongji University, Gyeonggi University, and Chugye University of the Arts,” she said.
