[브레이크뉴스=이성용기자] 경남도는 일본군 ‘위안부’ 문제에 대한 올바른 역사 인식 확산과 피해자의 명예 회복을 위한 제7회 일본군 ‘위안부’ 피해자 기림일 행사가 14일 오후 도청 대회의실에서 열렸다.
이날 행사는 ‘각인’이라는 주제로 최만림 행정부지사, 최학범 도의회 부의장, 도 단위 여성단체, 역사 동아리 학생 등 150여 명이 참석한 가운데 진행됐으며 경상남도 유튜브 채널 갱남피셜에서 온라인 실시간 생중계로도 방영됐다.
8월 14일은 1991년 일본군 ‘위안부’ 피해자 고 김학순 할머니가 ‘위안부’ 피해사실을 최초로 공개 증언한 날로, 2012년 12월 대만에서 열린 ‘제11차 일본군 ‘위안부’ 문제해결을 위한 아시아연대회의’에서 ‘세계 위안부 기림일’로 지정됐다.

이날 행사에서는 그동안 일본군 ‘위안부’ 관련 올바른 역사 인식 확립에 기여한 학생 2명이 도지사 표창을 받았고, 오보에 연주에 이어 창작뮤지컬 공연이 진행됐다.
이어 ‘위안부’ 피해자들을 잊지 않고 기억하겠다는 다짐의 시간으로 ‘기억하겠습니다’라는 문구가 적힌 노란색 나비모양 카드를 함께 들어 올리는 퍼포먼스를 펼치기도 했다.
최만림 행정부지사는 기념사에서 “이번 기림일 행사가 일본군 ‘위안부’ 피해자 분들에게 조금이나마 위로가 될 수 있기를 기원하며 지난 역사를 잊지 않기 위해 더욱 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
