거창군, 미등록 반려동물 집중 단속

[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 거창군은 9월 한달간 반려견 주요 출입장소와 민원 빈발 지역을 중심으로 미등록 반려동물을 집중단속한다고 밝혔다.

군은 집중단속에 앞서 미등록 반려견 자진신고 기간을 8월 31일까지 운영하고 이 기간 내에 등록 및 신고하면 등록대상 반려견 위반사항에 대한 과태료를 면제한다.

동물등록대상은 주택·준주택에서 기르는 2개월령 이상인 개와 주택·준주택 외의 장소에서 반려목적으로 기르는 2개월령 이상인 개가 대상이고 동물등록대행동물병원에서 등록이 가능하며 기존에 동물등록이 되어 있더라도 변경사항이 있는 경우에는 거창군농업기술센터에 방문해 변경신고하면 된다.

미등록자와 변경사항 미신고자에게는 ‘동물보호법’ 제47조제2항제5호, 제3항제1호 및 제2호에 따라 각각 100만원 또는 40만원 이하의 과태료가 부과될 수 있다.

특히 거창읍은 동물등록 의무지역이며 맹견의 경우 읍·면에 관계없이 동물등록을 해야 한다.
