고양시 덕이도서관이 청소년전용공간을 조성하기 위한 리모델링 공사에 착수한다.
공사 기간은 8월 29일부터 10월 27일까지다.
덕이도서관은 도서관 내 청소년 공간의 필요성을 경기도에 적극적으로 건의한 성과로 2021년 경기도 ‘특별조정교부금’2억9천만 원을 확보했다.

이에 도서관은 매점과 식당 등 유휴공간으로 사용된 약 268.8㎡의 지하1층 공간을 리모델링해 청소년이 다양한 여가활동을 할 수 있는 공간을 마련할 예정이다.
이용자의 안전사고 예방을 위해 착수일로부터 1개월(8.29~9.27) 동안 도서관은 휴관한다.
휴관 기간 중에는 인근의 한뫼, 가좌, 대화, 일산, 주엽어린이 도서관 등을 이용할 수 있다.
