권기식 한중도시우호협회장이 24일 한중수교 30주년을 맞아 싱하이밍 주한중국대사로부터 감사패를 받았다.
싱하이밍 대사는 한중 수교 30주년 기념일인 이날 베이징대 방문학자로 중국에 체류 중인 권기식 회장의 한중 우호활동에 대한 공로를 인정해 감사패를 협회에 전달했다.
권기식 회장은 "베이징대 방문학자 일정 때문에 중국에 있는 관계로 직접 받지는 못했지만 한중 우호를 위해 더욱 노력해달라는 뜻으로 생각한다"며 "한중 교류, 특히 청소년 교류를 위해 다양한 프로그램을 만들겠다"고 말했다.
권기식 회장은 지난 2016년 한중 지방정부 교류를 위해 한중도시우호협회를 설립한 뒤 '한중우호 청년포럼'과 '한중우호 도시포럼' 등 다양한 한중 교류 프로그램을 운영하고, 칼럼 기고와 언론 인터뷰 등을 통해 한중 우호에 앞장서고 있다.
권기식 회장은 최근 중국 베이징대 방문학자로 선정돼 중국에 입국해 활동 중이다.
