브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 국민의힘 당권 주자인 안철수 의원은 31일 이준석 전 대표에 대한 추가징계를 중앙윤리위원회에 촉구하기로 의원총회에서 결정난데 대해 "표결했는데 저는 반대했다"고 털어놨다.
안철수 의원은 이날 CBS 라디오 '김현정의 뉴스쇼'에서 진행자가 '이 전 대표와 사이가 가깝지 않은 것을 온 국민이 알고 있다"고 묻자 "개인의 유불리를 따지기 이전에 당을 위한 최선의 방법이 무엇인지 고민하는 것이다. 그래서 말씀드린다"며 이같이 밝혔다.
그는 차기 전당대회 시점에 대해서는 "정기국회가 정말 민생을 위해 중요하고, 책임 있는 정부여당 입장에서도 이번 정기국회를 제대로 치르는 것이 중요하다"며 "정기국회가 끝나면 치르는 것이 바람직하다는 뜻을 이미 말했다"고 했다.
그러면서 "예산안 (국회 처리가) 끝나면 아마 12월 초 정도가 될 것"이라고 '연말 전대'론을 다시한번 주장했다.
진행자가 "아예 1월에 개최해 이준석 전 대표 징계가 풀리면 출마할 수 있게 해 평가를 받도록 하자"는 의견도 있다고 설명하자, 안 의원은 "그런 것도 한 방법이다. 법원 판단 취지도 6개월 직무정지로 여전히 대표직은 살아 있다"며 받아들일 수 있다고 했다.
