[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 윤석열 대통령은 31일 창원 진해구에 위치한 부산항신항에서 열린 “제7차 비상경제 민생회의”에서 “대한민국의 새로운 성장동력으로 주목받고 있는 항공우주산업의 산업·안보·R&D 정책지원 등을 모두 포괄하는 항공우주청을 경남 사천에 조속히 설치해 달라”는 박완수 경남도지사 건의에 대해 이같이 밝혔다.
윤 대통령은 “항공우주청을 미국의 NASA 처럼 만들겠다. 일반 공무원 조직이 아닌 전문가 조직으로서 제대로 역할을 할 수 있도록 만들어야 한다”며 “대통령실 주재로 최근 유관 부처 관계자들이 항공우주청 설립을 위한 회의를 가졌고 추진방안을 논의하고 있다”고 말했다.
