중국 베이징대 방문학자 자격으로 중국을 방문한 권기식 한중도시우호협회장이 중국 불교계 인사들을 만나 코로나19 이후 한중 불교 교류 방안을 협의했다. 권기식 회장은 지난달 31일 샤먼시 남보타사를 방문해 오운(悟雲) 부주지, 상청(常淸) 홍보 담당 스님 등과 한중 불교 교류 방안에 대해 대담했다.
권기식 회장은 "한국 불교가 중국에서 전래된 만큼 한중 불교의 교류 역사는 뿌리가 깊다"며 "코로나19가 종식되면 한중도시우호협회와 함께 한중 불교 교류를 본격적으로 추진하자"고 말했다. 오운 남보타사 부주지는 "중국 불교협회 부회장을 맡고 있는 주지스님이 돌아오는 대로 협의해 한국 불교계와 다양한 방식으로 교류하는 방안을 추진하겠다"고 말했다. 남보타사는 중국 위진남북조 시대 창건된 천년고찰로 1일 방문객이 3만명에 이르는 중국 남부지역 최대 사찰이다.
권기식 회장은 이어 샤먼시 백록동사를 방문해 상학(常學) 주지스님과 한중 불교 교류 방안에 대해 대화했다.

Kwon Ki-sik, president of the Korea-China Urban Friendship Association, who visited China as a visiting scholar at Peking University in China, met with Chinese Buddhist figures to discuss ways to exchange Buddhism between Korea and China after Corona 19. Chairman Kwon Ki-sik visited Nambota Temple in Xiamen on the 31st of last month and had a conversation with Vice Juju Oun (悟雲) and a public relations monk in Shangcheng (常淸) about ways to exchange Buddhism between Korea and China.
Chairman Kwon Ki-sik said, “As Korean Buddhism was introduced from China, the history of exchanges between Korea and China has deep roots. Oun Nambota, deputy governor of Nambotasa, said, "We will discuss ways to exchange with the Korean Buddhist community in various ways as soon as the governor, who is the vice-president of the Chinese Buddhist Association, returns." Nambota Temple is a thousand-year-old temple built during the Wei Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties period, and is the largest temple in southern China, with 30,000 visitors a day.
After that, Chairman Kwon Ki-sik visited Baengnok-dong Temple in Xiamen and had a conversation with the governor Sanghak about ways to exchange Buddhism between Korea and China.
