파주시는 9월 5일부터 8일까지 하수관로에 대한 준설작업을 실시한다.
이번 준설작업은 추석을 앞두고 전통시장을 방문하는 이용객의 불편을 해소하기 위해 마련했으며, 명절 전에 많은 시민들이 전통시장을 방문하는 만큼 대대적으로 준설작업을 실시할 방침이다.
이번 하수도 준설 구간은 총 8개소[문산(자유, 선유), 적성, 금촌(전통, 문화로, 명동로), 조리 봉일천, 광탄] 전통시장 하수도 준설을 중점적으로 실시할 계획이다.

또한, 하수도 민원이 발생했던 지점을 중심으로 하수관로 및 맨홀 펌프장 점검 및 준설작업도 진행할 예정이다.
안석훈 하수도과장은 “하수도시설 준설과 지속적인 시설물 점검을 통해 생활하수 처리에 철저를 기하고 추석 연휴 기간 동안에 하수도 문제가 한 건도 발생하지 않도록 점검해 시정의 신뢰도를 높일 계획”이라고 말했다.[파주=박정호기자]
