고양시, 추석 연휴기간 특별교통대책본부 운영

고양시가 추석연휴 기간 시민들의 교통편의 증진을 위해 9월 9일부터 12일까지 ‘추석 연휴 특별교통대책본부’를 운영한다.

고양시 버스정책과장을 본부장으로 총 6명이 추석 연휴기간 동안 투입될 예정이며, 연휴 기간 발생 할 수 있는 상황에 대해서는 선제 지도점검을 할 계획이다.

우선 연휴가 시작되기 전인 9월 6일에는 귀성객들의 쾌적하고 안전한 터미널 이용을 위해 고양버스터미널(백석, 화정)에 대한 민관합동점검을 실시한다.

주요 점검 내용으로는 △시설물의 주기적 환기 여부 △1일 1회 이상 차량 소독 등 수시 방역 여부 △버스 내 마스크 착용 여부(운수종사자, 승객) △비상시 승객탈출용 안전 망치 및 소화기 비치 여부 등을 집중 점검할 예정이다.

또한 시는 코로나19 일상 회복으로 연휴 기간 지역 이동과 귀성.귀경이 늘어날 것으로 예상됨에 따라 시민 편의를 위해 고속.시외버스 운행을 확대하기로 했다.

고양종합터미널(백석)은 현재 78회(1일/주말 기준) 운행에서 연휴 기간 90회(12회 증차/9월초 기준) 이상 증차하여 평시보다 1,920명이 증가한 승객을 실어 나르게 되며, 지하철 막차 연장에 따라 고양시를 운행하는 시내버스 23개, 마을버스 25개 노선에 대해서도 연장 운행을 추진하기로 했다.
