[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 강기윤 의원은 제주대병원에서 발생한 영아 사망 재발 방지법안을 대표 발의했다고 6일 밝혔다.

이에 강 의원은“의료기관에서 환자 안전전담인력을 두기만 했을 뿐 거의 제대로 된 역할은 하지 못하는 곳이 있다”며, “이는 사실상 환자안전법을 만든 원래 취지에도 어긋나기 때문에 이를 바로잡고자 대표발의하게 됐다”고 말했다.
강기윤 의원은“다시는 의료사고 발생 시 전담인력의 역할 부재로 인해 환자가 보호받지 못하는 불행한 일이 재발돼서는 안된다”며,“앞으로도 환자의 안전만을 생각하며 환자보호를 위한 제도 개선에 앞장서겠다”고 말했다.
