파주시는 민족 대명절 추석을 맞아 파주 임진각 평화곤돌라에서 어르신 무료탑승 행사를 진행한다.
파주시에서는 추석연휴를 맞아 바쁜 일상에서 벗어나, 가족들과 함께 임진각에 방문하여 선선한 바람과 아름다운 파주의 하늘을 바라보며, 파주 곤돌라와 함께 보내는 풍요로운 추석이 되기를 바라는 마음에서 본 행사를 기획했다.

파주임진각 평화곤돌라는 민통선 구간을 오가는 세계 유일의 곤돌라로 DMZ 하늘길을 통해 임진강을 넘어 출입이 제한된 민간인통제구역을 자유롭게 오고 갈 수 있다.
파주시 관계자는 “보다 많은 분들이 풍요로운 명절을 보내실 수 있도록 앞으로 무료탑승 대상을 지속적으로 확대해 나갈 계획”이라고 밝혔다.
80세 이상 (1943년생) 어르신분들이라면 누구나 추석 연휴인 9월 9일 ~ 9월 12일인 나흘 동안 곤돌라 무료 탑승 혜택을 받을 수 있는데, 무료 탑승을 위해서는 신분증을 제시해야 한다.
