[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시는 노동자 휴게시설 설치를 위한 지원을 대폭 확대한다고 15일 밝혔다.
산업안전보건법 시행령 개정으로 8월 18일부터 모든 사업장에 휴게시설 설치가 의무화되어 사업주가 휴게시설 미설치 및 설치·관리기준 미준수 시 과태료 제재대상이 된다.
다만, 50인 미만 사업장에 대해서는 준비 기간을 고려하여 내년부터 적용된다.
이에 따라 창원시는 2013년부터 제조업 중심 중소기업을 대상으로 추진해 왔던 노동자 복지시설 지원사업을 내년부터 경상남도 사업과 연계하여 예산 규모를 8천만원으로 확대하고, 상대적으로 영세한 50인 미만 사업장이 우선 지원을 받을 수 있도록 선정기준을 보완해 사업주의 부담을 경감시키는데 집중한다는 계획이다.
정현섭 경제일자리국장은 “노동자의 근로환경 개선은 기업의 생산성 향상에도 직결되는 만큼 수혜 업체를 늘리고 사업비 지원을 확대하여 노동자와 사업주가 건강한 노사관계로 발전할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다.”고 밝혔다.
한편, 올해 창원시 1사 1노동자 복지시설 지원사업은 4개 사업장이 선정됐다.
