[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 지구촌 최대의 K-POP 축제인 ‘2022 창원 케이팝 월드페스티벌(이하 월드페스티벌)’이 10월 7일 오후 7시 창원종합운동장에서 개최된다.
올해로 11회를 맞이한 월드페스티벌은 전 세계 K-POP을 사랑하는 참가자들이 퍼포먼스 실력을 겨루는 지구촌 최대의 한류 축제다.
KBS한국방송공사, 외교부, 해외문화홍보원이 공동으로 주최하고 창원특례시가 후원한다.
오는 10월 열리는 월드페스티벌은 3년 만의 ‘화려한 귀환’이라 해도 좋을 만큼 열기가 뜨거울 것으로 보인다.
그간 코로나19 대유행으로 재작년에는 축제가 취소됐고, 작년에는 해외 K-POP 참가자들의 본선 경연이 비대면으로 진행됐다.
특히 올해는 전 세계 약 100개 지역에서 글로벌 오디션이 열렸고, 각국 1위 팀들에 대한 두 차례의 전문가 심사를 거쳐 선정된 네덜란드, 노르웨이, 나이지리아, 독일, 몽골, 불가리아, 칠레, 일본 8개국 8개 팀이 창원에서 본선 경쟁을 치를 예정이다.
올해 월드페스티벌은 지구촌 최대의 K-POP축제라는 위상에 걸맞게 배우 김명수(인피니트 엘), 가수 알렉사, Billlie의 수아가 공동 MC로 입을 맞춰 센스 넘치는 진행으로 최고의 무대를 이끌 예정이다.
라인업도 화려하다. 아이키X훅, 알렉사, Billlie, 브레이브걸스, CIX, KARD, 이진혁 등 대한민국을 대표하는 K-POP 아티스트들이 대거 출연해 분위기를 한껏 끌어올릴 것으로 보인다.
‘2022 창원 K-POP 월드페스티벌(부제 K-POP IS MY UNIVERSE : 또다른 나의 세계, 케이팝)’은 KBS공식 SNS라이브를 통해 생중계된다.
녹화방송은 10월 28일 금요일에 KBS 2TV를 통해 방송될 예정이다. KBS WORLD TV를 통해서도 전 세계 140개국에 방송된다.
