경남도, 대웅제약과 바이오 스타트업 성장·지원

[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 박완수 경상남도지사는 국내 바이오 선도기업인 ㈜대웅제약과 함께 도내 바이오 스타트업의 성장을 이끌어 나가기로 약속했다.

경남도는 20일 도청 도정회의실에서 ㈜대웅제약과 ㈜이모티브, ㈜하이셀텍, 디보㈜ 등 도내 기업체와 함께 바이오 스타트업에 대한 성장과 투자유치를 지원하기 위한 업무협약을 체결했다.

이날 협약식에는 박완수 도지사를 비롯해 전승호 ㈜대웅제약 대표, 유종상 ㈜아피셀테라퓨틱스 대표, 노충식 (재)경남테크노파크 원장과 민정상 ㈜이모티브 대표, 김재호 ㈜하이셀텍 대표, 강양제 디보㈜ 대표 등 도내 바이오 스타트업 관계자가 참석한 가운데 진행됐다.

이번 업무협약은 경남 지역의 바이오 스타트업을 체계적으로 육성하기 위해 ▲ 기술·기업 진단과 비즈니스 모델 발굴 ▲ 기술 및 제품개발 컨설팅 ▲ 연구개발, 사업화 및 마케팅 자금 지원 ▲판로 및 파트너 발굴 ▲ 후속 투자유치, M&A, IPO, 글로벌 진출 등 상호 협력해 나가기로 했다.

박완수 도지사는 “높은 부가가치를 창출하는 바이오산업은 미래의 중요한 성장동력”이라며 “이번 협약은 바이오 스타트업 육성을 위해 산학연병관이 협력한 전국 최초의 모델인 만큼 수도권에 버금가는 바이오 인프라를 육성해 기술력을 갖춘 세계적인 바이오업체가 탄생할 수 있도록 지원해 나가겠다“고 말했다.

경남도는 오는 2024년까지 지원하는 ‘바이오 스타트업 스튜디오 운영사업’을 통해 ㈜이모티브, ㈜하이셀텍, 디보㈜를 올해 대상기업으로 선정하고 성장 지원하기로 했으며, ㈜대웅제약은 향후 우수한 기술력을 확보하는 기업에 후속 투자할 계획이다.
