[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경남도는 21일 개최된 국토교통부의 ‘2022년 제3차 주거정책심의위원회’에서 창원시 성산구가 조정대상지역에서 해제하기로 심의·의결 됐다고 밝혔다.
이번 주거정책심의위원회에서는 주택가격 등 시장상황을 종합 고려해 세종을 제외한 지방권 및 일부 수도권 외곽지역의 조정대상지역을 해제하고, 서울·경기를 제외한 인천·세종지역은 투기과열지구를 해제했다.
심의위원회 개최 결과에 따르면 전국 조정대상지역은 101곳에서 60곳으로, 투기과열지구는 43곳에서 39곳으로 조정됐으며, 해제 효력은 9월 26일 자정부터 발생한다.
경남도는 2020년 12월 18일 창원시 의창구와 성산구가 각각 투기과열지구와 조정대상지역으로 지정된 이후 규제지역 해제를 위해 수차례 국토교통부를 방문해 지역실정과 민원사항을 호소하는 등 창원시 규제지역 해제를 위해 지속적으로 노력해왔다.
