브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 북한은 22일 '러시아에 무기를 지원하고 있다'는 미국측이 제기한 의혹에 대해 "러시아에 무기나 탄약을 수출한 적이 없고 앞으로도 그럴 계획이 없다"고 부인했다.
북한은 이날 조선중앙통신에 국방성 장비총국 부총국장 명의의 담화를 통해 "최근 미국을 비롯한 적대세력들은 우리나라와 러시아 사이의 ‘무기거래설’을 내돌리면서 그 무슨 유엔안전보장리사회 ‘결의위반’에 대해 떠들고 있다. 군사장비의 개발과 생산,보유는 물론 다른 나라들과의 수출입활동은 주권국가의 고유하고 합법적인 권리이며 그 누구도 이에 대해 시비질할 자격이 없다"며 이같이 밝혔다.
북한은 이어 "우리는 미국과 그 추종세력들이 조작해낸 불법무도한 유엔안전보장리사회 대조선 제재결의라는 것을 애초에 인정해본 적이 없다"면서 "미국이 어디서 주어들은 근거없는 무기거래설을 내돌리는지는 모르겠으나 이는 우리 공화국의 영상에 먹칠을 하자는 데 그 목적이 있다고 주장했다.
북한은 그러면서 "우리는 미국이 비렬한 정치군사적흉심을 추구하기 위해 함부로 반공화국모략설을 퍼뜨리는데 대하여 강력히 규탄하며 엄중히 경고한다. 터무니없이 우리를 걸고드는 망발을 내뱉지 말고 함구하는 것이 좋을 것"이라고 경고했다.
앞서 미국은 지난 6일 러시아가 북한에 무기 구매 의사를 타진했다며 포탄과 로켓 등 탄약 수백만발이 거래될 가능성이 있다고 의혹을 제기한 바 있다.
미 재무부의 엘리자베스 로젠버그 테러자금조달 및 금융범죄 담당 차관보도 지난 20일 상원 은행위원회에서 "북한 업체가 제재 대상에 오른 러시아 업체에 군사 장비를 공급하는 것은 분명히 제재 위반"이라며 "우리는 러시아 업체에 군사 장비를 공급하는 자들에게 책임을 묻기 위해 계속해서 제재를 가하는 것"이라고 강조했다.

North Korea said, "We strongly condemn and sternly warn the U.S. for spreading anti-republic rumors in pursuit of scathing political and military atrocities. He warned, "It would be better to keep quiet and not spit out the mangoes that risk us ridiculously."
Earlier on the 6th, the U.S. raised suspicions that Russia may trade millions of rounds of ammunition, including shells and rockets, saying it was willing to buy weapons to North Korea.
"It is clearly a violation of sanctions for North Korean companies to supply military equipment to Russian companies that are subject to sanctions," U.S. Treasury Assistant Secretary Elizabeth Rosenberg told the Senate Banking Committee on the 20th. "We continue to impose sanctions to hold those who supply military equipment to Russian companies accountable."
