이동환 고양시장은 “지난 10년간 장애인체육회를 이끌어준 임직원 분들과 경기도장애인체육대회에서 우수한 성과를 달성한 장애인체육인 여러분께 존경과 감사의 말씀을 드린다.”고 말했다.
고양시장애인체육회는 2012년 창립 시 13개 종목에서 현재 개인 종목까지 포함하여 총 23개 종목으로 발전했다.
