[브레이크뉴스경기남부=수원 이귀선기자] 2023년 수원시 ‘생활임금’이 1만 390원(시급)으로 결정됐다. 월급으로 환산하면 217만 1510원(월 근로시간 209시간 기준)이다.
수원시 노사민정협의회는 28일 팔달구청 상황실에서 제2차 정기회의를 열고, 내년 생활임금을 올해(1만 220원)보다 1.7% 인상하기로 의결했다. 고용노동부가 고시한 내년도 최저임금(9620원)의 108% 수준이다.
수원시 노사민정협의회는 ▲최저임금 상승률 ▲생활물가 상승률 ▲도시생활근로자 평균임금 ▲내년 재정 여건 등 전반적인 경제 상황을 고려해 생활임금을 결정했다.
수원시가 2014년 도입한 ‘생활임금’은 최저임금에서 한 걸음 나아가 사람이 ‘인간다운 삶’을 유지할 수 있는 수준의 임금을 말한다.
수원시 생활임금 적용 대상자는 수원시·수원시 출자출연기관 소속 노동자, 수원시로부터 사무를 위탁받았거나 시에 공사·용역 등을 제공하는 기관·업체에 소속된 노동자와 그 하수급인(하도급을 받은 업자)이 직접 고용한 노동자 등 4000여 명이다. 2023년 생활임금은 내년 1월 1일부터 적용된다.
이날 회의에는 강금식 고용노동부 경기지청장, 정기봉 한국노통 수원지역지부 의장, 김재옥 수원상공회의소 회장, 박사승 수원시 경제정책국장 등이 참석했다.
수원시 관계자는 “생활임금이 민간 업체·기관으로 확산되길 바란다”며 “연대의 힘으로 지역경제 활성화, 노동권 보호를 위해 노력하는 노사민정에 감사드린다”고 말했다.
