지난 7월1일 의장선거와 4일 개원식을 통해 상임위 구성을 했는데, 지난 3대 의회 때와는 달리 원만하게 잘 구성됐습니다. 창원상공회의소와 경찰서, 교육청 그리고 각 대학에 취임 인사와 상호협력을 위해 인사를 다녔습니다. 110차 임시회에서는 진해 석동정수창에서 발생한 깔따구로 걱정하실 창원시민들이 사용할 수돗물 공급을 위한
대정부 질의를 의원 45명 전원이 만장일치로 통과시켜 국회와 정부에 전달을 했습니다. 여야 간의 소통을 잘하면 어떤 문제든 잘해결 될 것이라고 점을 중요하게 생각하고 소통에 중점을 두고 있습니다.

5개의 연구단체가 43명의 의원으로 구성돼 있습니다. 이정희 의원이 대표로 있는 도시발전연구회는 지속적인 도시발전과 현실적인 발전 방향을 연구하는 단체입니다. 전홍표 의원이 대표로 있는 기후위기 그린뉴딜 정책연구회는 창원시 정책 연구와 실천을 도모하고 그린뉴딜 정책 실현을 통한 기후위기 대응 실천 증진 정책을 연구하는 단체입니다. 심영석 의원이 대표로 있는 마을공동체 활동 연구회는 창원시의 마을공동체를 연구해 전문 지식을 주민과 공유하고 연구한 내용을 창원시 마을공동체 정책에 반영하고자 하는 단체입니다.
