브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 이재명 더불어민주당 대표는 11일 한미일 합동군사훈련과 관련 "위기를 핑계로 일본을 한반도에 끌어들이는 자충수를 중단해야 한다"며 거듭 비판했다.
연일 한미일 합동 군사훈련을 비판하고 있는 이재명 대표는 이날 국회에서 열린 민주당 긴급안보대책회의에서 "최근 윤석열 정부가 일본 자위대를 독도 근해로 불러들여 합동 실전 훈련 연이어 강행하고 있다. 좌시할 수 없는 국방 참사이고 안보 자해행위"라며 이같이 밝혔다.
그는 "대한민국이 일본 자위대를 정식 군대로 인정한다는 시그널을 줄 수 있다"면서 "그리고 한미일 군사동맹으로 나아가는 징검다리가 될 수 있다. 일본이 궁극적으로 한반도에 개입할 구실을 줄 수 있는 한미일 합동 군사훈련을 대체 왜 갑자기 하는건지 도저히 납득할 수 없다"고 지적했다.
이어 그는 "그런데 윤석열 정부는 무엇보다 이런 문제를 지적하면 수용하는 게 아니라 어김없이 시대착오적 종북몰이, 색깔론 공세를 펼친다"면서 "해방 후 친일파들이 했던 행태와 다를 바 전혀 없다"고 강도높게 비판했다.
이재명 대표는 또한 "지지층 결집을 위해 전쟁 위기를 고조시키는 강대강 대결 추구하고 국민 생명과 안전을 볼모로 삼는 것은 대통령의 책무 저버리는 것"이라며 "국가적 재앙인 일본과의 군사동맹 우려에 대해 대통령이 직접 소명하고, 한·미·일 연합훈련은 즉각 중단해야 한다"고 촉구했다.
이 대표는 아울러 북한이 이틀에 한번 꼴로 미사일을 발사하는 등 7차 핵실험이 임박했다는 언론 보도를 언급하며 "민주당은 한반도 긴장을 고조시키는 북한의 일체 행위를 반대하고 강력하게 규탄한다"며 "북한은 모든 도발을 즉각 중단하고 대화 테이블로 돌아와야 한다"고 강조했다.
그러면서 "윤석열 정부 역시 위험천만한 전쟁불사, 전쟁할 수 있다는 태도를 버려야 한다. 악화일로인 민생 경제를 외면하고 강경 일변도로 군사대치를 고집하는건 평화와 민생 두 가지 다 망치는 길"이라고 덧붙였다.
