‘우영우 팽나무’창원시티투어버스 연장 운행한다

[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시는 ‘우영우 팽나무’를 보기 위해 시를 방문하는 관광객의 편의를 위해 시티투어버스 특별노선 운영 기간을 11월 30일까지 연장 운행한다고 13일 밝혔다.

의창구 대산면 동부마을에 있는 ‘우영우 팽나무’가 역사·문화적 가치는 물론 독특한 경관적 가치를 인정받아 지난 7일 천연기념물로 지정됐다.

시는 지난 9월부터 시민과 관광객이 주차 걱정 없이 ‘우영우 팽나무’를 감상할 수 있도록 시티투어버스 특별노선을 편성해 운영하고 있다.

당초 운영 기간은 이달 16일까지였으나, 매회 예약 인원이 조기에 마감되는 등 시민과 관광객의 호응이 높아 오는 11월 30일까지 운영 기간을 연장하기로 했다.

이 기간 월요일을 제외하고 매일 한 번 창원시티투어 1층 버스 탑승객을 대상으로 운행하며, 오전 9시 30분 창원스포츠파크 만남의광장에서 시티투어 1층 버스를 타고 동부마을에서 내린 다음 팽나무를 비롯한 마을 일대를 감상한 뒤 정오 무렵 만남의광장으로 돌아오는 코스다.
