[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시는 22일 북면 자원봉사캠프 주관으로 북면 고암리에 위치한 농가를 찾아 단감 수확 일손을 지원했다고 24일 밝혔다.
이번 봉사활동은 20여 명의 북면 자원봉사캠프 자원봉사자들이 참여한 가운데 단감 수확철을 맞아 부족한 일손으로 어려움을 겪고 있는 북면 노인세대 농가를 찾았다.
활동에 참여한 한 주민은 “북면에 살아도 농촌일손 돕기를 해 본 적이 없는데, 이번 북면 자원봉사캠프의 봉사자 모집을 보고 참여하게 되었다.”고 말했다.

이어 “단감을 따는 것이 생각보다 많이 힘들었지만, 농촌 고령화와 코로나19 장기화로 농가의 인력 수급이 어려운 상황에서 작은 도움이 될 수 있어 보람을 느낀다.”고 소감을 밝혔다.
김종필 복지여성보건국장은 “상승된 인건비와 일손 부족 문제로 많은 농가들이 어려움을 겪고 있는데, 수확기 부족한 일손 지원에 적극 동참해 주신 북면 캠프지기 및 자원봉사자 여러분께 감사를 드린다.”고 밝히고 “북면 자원봉사캠프가 생활권 단위 자원봉사 실천 확산을 위해 그 역할을 다하고 참여 봉사자들이 어려움 없이 봉사활동에 참여 할 수 있도록 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 말했다.
