김현문학축전추진위원회는 “김현 타계 32주기를 맞아 목포문학관 등에서 제16회 김현문학축전을 29일 오후 2시에 개최된다.
이번 문학축전은 한국 근대문학비평의 중심이었던 김현선생의 문학적 상상력을 깊이 있게 조명하고 심원한 김현 선생의 문학적 자산을 새롭게 수용하고 재해석하여 남도문학 발전에 이바지하고자 한다. 아울러 전국의 문인들이 한자리에 모여서 창작의욕을 북돋아주는 축하의 자리도 마련될 것이다.
‘남도문학에 스민 김현’을 주제로 열리는 올해 행사는 우찬제 서강대 교수가 발표자로 나서 ‘김현의 삶과 문학’을 강연한다. 이어 곽윤경 문학평론가, 채희윤 오월문예연구소 소장, 박관서 한국작가회의 사무총장이 ‘김현문학축전 15년의 현황과 전망’을 주제로 토론회를 연다.
김현은 1962년 서울대학교 불문학과 재학 때 <자유문학>에 문학평론 ‘나르시스의 시론-시와 악의 문제’를 발표하며 등단했다. 같은 해 우리나라 최초의 소설동인지 <산문시대> 창간을 주도했다. 김현은 비평을 독자적인 문학 종류로 발전시킨 최초의 비평가로 평가받고 있다. 평생 240편의 문학평론과 <사라짐, 맺힘> 등 여러 권의 단행본을 남겼다. 목포 문인들은 2007년 김현의 이름을 본뜬 문학축전을 만들어 매년 행사를 이어오고 있다.
이번 16회 개최 기념행사로는 남도문학 발전에 이바지하면서 아울러 전국의 문인들이 한자리에 모여 창작의욕을 북돋아주는 축하의 자리도 될 것이다. 최자웅, 김경윤, 강민숙 시인이 시낭송을 하게 되고 산문 낭독으로는 이철경, 나종입, 한경화 평론가가 맡아서 한다. 그 밖에 싱어송 라이터 시누크장(장정희)의 히트곡, <물처럼 바람처럼>과 <민달팽이>, <백산에 올라>를 새롭게 선보일 것이다
특히 16회 행사를 주관하는 최기종 집행위윈장은 “이번 문학축전은 지난 15년 간 진행해온 김현과 남도문학과의 만남을 총정리하는 자리이며 앞으로는 김현과 한국문학, 김현과 세계문학으로 확장되는 문학축전으로 나아갈 것이라” 고 했다.
