[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 29일 발생한 이태원 할로윈 참사와 관련해 10월 축제 행사 중 야외 행사를 취소.연기하고 안전점검을 강화키로 했다.
진주시는 30일 11시 부시장 주재로 긴급 대책회의를 개최해 축제기간 중 전시 형태만 유지하고 야외 행사는 취소 또는 연기한다고 밝혔다.
이에 따라 31일 예정된 드론쇼와 불꽃놀이는 전면 취소됐고 폐막일인 오는 11월 3일 불꽃놀이도 취소될 예정이다.
시는 30일로 예정된 뮤지컬 촉석산성아리아와 진주성 버스킹 공연, 품바공연, 드라마 프린지 공연 등 야외·음악공연은 전면 취소했다.
또 시는 30일 개최된 일부 행사와 연기가 불가능한 경연대회는 실내에서 경연자만 참가해 행사규모를 최소화했다.
시는 남아있는 축제기간에 대해서는 안전관리요원을 기존보다 2배 이상 배치해 현장에서 발생할 수 있는 모든 안전사고를 차단할 계획이다.
