[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 사천공항 카 셰어링 서비스가 7일부터 실시된다.
카 셰어링은 자동차를 시간 단위로 여러 사람이 나눠 쓸 수 있는 차량공유 서비스이다.
한국공항공사에 따르면 입점업체는 ‘쏘카’가 선정됐으며, 사천공항 여객주차장 내 주차면수 25면이 설치된다.
사천공항은 서부경남과 수도권을 1시간 만에 연결하는 경남 유일의 지역공항이지만, 접근교통 수단과 공항 내 입점 렌트카 업체가 없어 공항이용에 불편이 있다는 지적이 지속적으로 제기되어 왔다.
이번 카셰어링 서비스의 도입으로 진주·사천을 넘어 서부경남 도민들의 사천공항 접근 편의성 증대 및 수도권 관광객 유치로 사천공항 활성화와 지역 관광경제 활성화가 기대 된다.
한편 사천공항은 현재 진에어, 하이에어 2개 항공사가 취항해 진에어 사천↔김포 노선 하루 2회, 하이에어 사천↔김포 노선 하루 2회, 사천↔제주 노선 주 5회 운항중이다.
김복곤 경남도 공항철도과장은 “카셰어링 서비스 도입으로 경남도의 숙원사업인 ‘사천공항 활성화’ 에 크게 이바지 할 것으로 기대한다며, 지역민들도 사천공항을 많이 이용하는 등 많은 관심을 부탁드린다”고 밝혔다.
