[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 남해군이 삼동면 물건리 산228-1번지 일원에 33ha 규모의 자연휴양림을 조성할 계획으로 산과 바다가 어우러진 고품격 공간 탄생이 기대된다.
남해군은 우수한 산림 자원을 활용하고 최근 증가하는 산림휴양 수요에 대응하기 위해 2020년 자연휴양림 타당성 평가를 받은 바 있으며 2021년 지정·고시 절차를 마무리한 바 있다.
남해군은 21일 장충남 군수와 주요 간부 공무원들이 참석한 가운데 ‘남해군 자연휴양림 조성사업 기본 및 실시설계 최종보고회’를 개최했다.
남해군은 총 사업비 165억원 중 94억원을 투입해 오는 2025년 말까지 자연휴양림 1단계 사업을 추진할 계획이라고 전했다.
남해 자연휴양림은 바다숲 지구 이랑숲 지구 뜰안숲 지구 보물숲 지구로 조성되며 1단계 사업을 통해 숙박시설 10동·안내센터 1동·진입로·주차장, 편의시설·야영시설·체험시설 등이 구축된다.
이날 최종보고회에는 각 구역별 특색 있는 산림 시설들이 소개됐으며 힐링과 휴식은 물론 숲에 대한 이해도를 높일 수 있는 여러 방안들이 제시됐다.
장충남 군수는 “남해군의 첫 산림휴양 시설이 대한민국 최고의 청정함과 아름다움을 간직할 것이라 자신한다”며 “자연을 훼손하지 않고 최대한 보존하는 데 주안점을 두고 군민과 관광객들에게 다양한 산림 복지서비스를 제공함으로써 지역경제 활성화에도 도움이 될 수 있도록 하겠다”고 밝혔다.
