충남도내 각급학교 내진보강사업이 순조롭게 진행중이다.
24일 충남교육청에 따르면 도내 학교 내진보강 사업에 박차를 가해 내진성능 평가를 내년까지 내진 설계는 2026년까지 완료를 목표로 추진중이라고 밝혔다. 내진보강공사도 2026년까지 80% 마무리한다는 계획이다.
국내 지진관측 이래 최대 규모인 경주지진(규모 5.8)과 포항지진(규모 5.4) 발생했고, 지난달 인근지역인 충북 괴산에서도 지난달 규모 4.1의 지진이 발생하는 등 지진에 대한 철저한 대비의 필요성이 대두돼 왔다.
