브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 국민의힘은 29일 민주노총 공공운수노조 화물연대본부 총파업과 관련 "건설현장이 멈추게 됐다. 이 모든 문제는 운송 거부에 따른 불법 민노총 행태에서 기인한다고 할 수 있다"고 맹비판했다.
성일종 국민의힘 정책위원장은 이날 국회에서 건설업계 대표자들이 참석한 가운데 개최한 당정 긴급간담회에서 "정부는 법과 원칙을 바로세워서 반드시 이 문제를 바로잡겠다"며 이같이 밝혔다.
성일종 의장은 "그 어떤 것보다 연관산업 파급효과가 크고 경기와 직접 연관된 건설업이 멈춘다는 것은 국가가 멈추는 것"이라며 "화물연대의 운송거부는 국민에 대한 운송거부고, 국민을 인질로 삼아 민노총의 이득 확장을 노리는 불공정 행위"라고 지적했다.
이어 "특정 소수 강성 노조의 무법, 탈법적 행위에 대한 관용적 태도는 불법을 관행으로 만들었다. 그 특권층에 민주노총이 자리잡고 있다"면서 "세계 경제 불황으로 국민들이 힘들어 하는데 총파업으로 경제 발목을 잡는 나쁜 노조 문화를 만들었다"고 비난했다.

김정재 의원은 "언제까지 화물연대, 민노총의 힘에 정부가 굴복하고 국민이 굴복하고 산업계가 질질 끌려가야 하나"라며 "화물연대는 타협안마저 단칼에 거절하고 한마디로 계속 투쟁해서 정부를 무릎 꿇리겠다는 의지를 노골화했다. 이번에야말로 정부와 국민의 단호한 대응이 필요하다"고 했다.
성일종 의장은 또한 전임 문재인 정부와 더불어민주당이 민주노총의 힘을 키웠다는 주장도 했다.
